Do felines hack?
Felines do hack, yet not so regularly as different creatures. Regurgitating or choking, including "hacking up hairballs," is frequently mistaken for a respiratory hack in felines. A hack is an expiratory exertion creating an abrupt, boisterous removal of air from the lungs. It is typically animated by a disturbance or irritation of the mucous layer coating the windpipe, bronchi, or bronchioles with an end goal to oust some unfamiliar material or collect fiery emissions like bodily fluid. Serious episodes of hacking may end with regurgitation and in any event, raising of stomach substance like bile.
